Vestavia Hills boy missing for 13 years is found safe in Ohio

Good evening from the WBRC FOX6 Newsroom! This is Jonathan Hardison with a look at the stories we're following for you tonight.

Missing boy found safe

What an amazing story out of Ohio tonight! Julian Hernandez, who has been missing from Vestavia Hills since 2002, has been found safe and sound in Cleveland. His dad, Bobby Hernandez, is in jail for Julian's abduction. Starting on WBRC FOX6 News at 9 our John Huddleston is working his sources for new information and is talking to a Vestavia Hills police officer who's in contact with Julian's mom for an update on how she's handling this news.

Football changes

Plus, your favorite high school football team may start the playoffs early Thursday night because of rain in Friday night's forecast, but not everybody is getting the chance to move their game. New on WBRC FOX6 News at 10, Lydia Hu is asking the Alabama High School Athletic Association why some schools were denied a reschedule, including Parker High School.
