265 workers at Jim Walters mine #7 in Brookwood are among additional layoffs in the coal industry. This is the latest in a string of layoffs impacting coal miners across Alabama. We’ll have reaction.

A University of Alabama student is facing possible charges after a video is posted on social media showing him beating a cat with a belt. We’ll have the latest on the investigation.
 
Presidential candidates head to Alabama

Kasich, Huckabee, Clinton. They’re all coming to Alabama as the presidential primary season kicks in. We’ll talk to Terry Lathan, the chairman of the Alabama Republican Party at 5:30 p.m.
