Minor got a pair of touchdowns from Jaylond Adams to beat Pinson Valley 26-16 Friday night.

The win is the Tigers fourth straight victory. Minor head coach George Bates says defense set the tone in the game.

Meanwhile, Pinson Valley head coach Matt Glover says his team made too many mistakes.

The loss drops the Indians to 7-3 on the season and will play Grissom in the first round of the state playoffs.

Minor improves to 6-4 and will play at Albertville in round one.
