3 teens charged with capital murder and another mine is hit with layoffs

Three teens charged with capital murder

Bessemer police have charged three teenagers with capital murder in the death of a 58-year-old man. The same teenagers are among five teens suspected of a carjacking that happened the same night. We’ll have the full story at 5.
 
220 mine workers laid off

Cliffs Natural Resources announced they are cutting the workforce by about 50 percent at two mining operations, the Oak Grove Mine in Alabama and the Pinnacle Mine in West Virginia. That means 220 workers will lose their jobs in Oak Grove. We’ll have reaction.
 
Shooting at youth football game

Two women ended up being shot at a youth football game in Bessemer last night. We are working now to find out how it happened. We’ll have the latest from Bessemer investigators.
