Well, hello and Good morning!  Here are just a few of the stories we are working on for you this morning on Good Day Alabama:

A mother is dead and her son is recovering this morning at UAB hospital after being shot in Chilton County. Police say 34-year-old Robert Fields Jr. allegedly shot his sister and nephew.

Some chilly temperatures you are waking up to this morning. Mickey will tell you if it's going to continue.  Plus, he's checking on the tropical situation in the Gulf.

Birmingham Schools are investigating a video that a concerned viewer sent us of a school bus running a red light!

Happening now, some type of spill into a creek in Homewood has city officials concerned.  Crews are cleaning up that spill and testing the water that killed fish in the water.  We're working to figure out what exactly spilled in the creek.

Police in Irondale want your help in identifying two men they say attempted to rob the Jacks on Crestwood Blvd.

We are learning new information from that deadly Detroit shooting involving a pastor.

And firefighting crews in Walker County, Texas also working to get a wildfire under control.  The blaze has already spread to over 700 acres and has destroyed four homes.

In Sports:  We look ahead to Alabama's game against Tennessee.  Auburn's media briefing is later today for the Arkansas game.

Oprah announced she bought 10 percent stake in Weight Watchers.  That's a $43.2 million investment.  The stock soared from $6.79 Monday morning to $13.92 at the close of trading.  She grossed a $45 million in the process.

Apple has removed close to 300 apps from iTunes stores.   There were issues because the apps allowed people to secretly collect personal information from people.

Looking for the coolest place in the galaxy to watch the new 'Star Wars' film? You're in luck: the U.S. Space & Rocket Center IMAX theater has been chosen to show "The Force Awakens," the new 'Star Wars' movie.  The film will premiere at the IMAX Spacedome Theatre on Thursday, Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.
