Here's what you saw on Good Day Alabama:

AGE APPROPRIATE MONEY LESSONS - Rachel Cruze, best-selling author and speaker for Ramsey Solutions, discussed age appropriate money lessons. She says the four main things to teach kids regardless of age: work, save, spend and give. She says to start them young - ages 3-5. When they are that young, she suggests giving them their reward/payment immediately after they do a task that earns that reward. As they grown up - ages 6-13, make a chart of their tasks and reward them on a weekly basis or another scheduled system. And then work to get them out from ages 14 to college to learn to support themselves. Rachel offers her Smart Money Smart Kids Class. It is a six-week course based on her #1 New York Times best-selling book. It includes lessons on work and responsibility, spending and wisdom, saving and patience, giving and generosity, debt and integrity, and contentment and gratitude. Learn more at
