Happy Columbus Day, Monday!  Here are just a few of the stories we are working on for you this morning on Good Day Alabama:

Authorities are expected to release new information on the deadly motorcycle crash that killed 21-year-old Kaylan Kamonta Perry on Oct. 4. No charges have been filed in the case, with investigators saying that Perry appeared to be the agitator in the incident in footage reviewed. A claim that Perry’s family disputes.

You will notice the much cooler temperatures this morning!  We will tell you how nice to expect the weather to be for you this week.

Southwest Airlines says hundreds of flights have been delayed by technical problems.  The airline is warning passengers flying today to arrive two hours early and print boarding passes before coming to the airport.

Councilman, Jay Roberson will join us at 6:25 a.m. to talk about his 100 Days of Non-Violence initiative.

New video shows the moments right after a fiery plane crash in California.  The plane went down only feet away from a home. 

Happening right now, police are looking for a missing inmate from Montgomery.

If you need to do any business downtown at the Jefferson County Courthouse, especially involving your license, today might be the best day to do it.   Federal and state offices are closed for Columbus Day today, but Jefferson County services will be open!

Happening today, your donations for flooding victims will be heading to South Carolina this morning.  We'll share more details with you on where and when to donate.

A suspect is in custody following the deadly shooting of a Memphis officer.  It happened Sunday afternoon.  Investigators say 31-year-old Terence Olridge was shot multiple times in a neighborhood.  He was not on duty.

A fan was shot in the parking lot of the Dallas Cowboys game.  We are working with our Dallas stations to get more information.

We are recapping the weekend in college football.  Alabama is down in the AP Poll, but moves up in the Coaches Poll, setting up a Top 10 showdown at Texas A&M this weekend.  Meanwhile, Auburn opens as a slight favorite for Thursday night's game at Kentucky.

Congressman, Bradley Byrne will join us at 7:10 a.m. to talk about the search for a House Speaker.
