Sideline Jeh Jeh's Game of the Week: Vestavia at Spain Park

HOOVER, AL (WBRC) - The burning question everyone was asking was, "How will Spain Park play after that huge win over Hoover last Thursday?"

Well, the Jags put any reservations to rest pretty quickly.

Vestavia started the game off with a great drive. Brett Jones hit Joseph Travis for a 45-yard gain. But that would pretty much be all the offense the Rebels would muster up.

When the drive stalled on the eight-yard line, the Rebels set up for a 25-yard field goal. But it was blocked and Joshua Denson scooped it up and ran a 90-yard touchdown to put the Jags up 7-0.

Spain Park's defense sacked Brett Jones a number of times in the game.  And when the offense got back on the field Joey Beatty and Wade Streeter ran and passed the ball down the field a couple of times.

Beatty scored a one-yard touchdown to make it 14-0 in the second quarter. And with 3:32 left before the half, Beatty on a pass hit Bridge Suber for a 36-yard touchdown that he bobbled all the way down before getting his feet down to make it 21-0.

That was all the scoring in the game. The Jaguars improve to 6-1 while the Rebels fall to 5-2.
