Police are searching for the suspect or suspects linked to a shooting in the parking lot outside of a Birmingham restaurant on Dennison Avenue.

Right now, South Carolina Governor's is urging residents in some coastal areas to evacuate. There is concern some of the low-lying areas could experience more flooding as storm water flows down swollen rivers to the coast.

The St. Clair County prison remains on lockdown.  This comes after 3 suspects tried to smuggle guns and drugs into the facility.

Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson plans to travel to South Carolina today to get a first-hand look at the flood damage days of rain caused.

New this morning, U.S. investigators say the Navy will start searching for the cargo ship that sank during in Hurricane Joaquin.
