Good afternoon from the desk of Janet Hall. Here are the stories we're working on for WBRC FOX6 News this evening.

McCalla Shooting
Two people are recovering after exchanging gunfire at a McCalla home this morning. A 28-year-old man was shot at his girlfriend's home after another man forced his way into the home. The 28-year-old was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The other man was later found in Fairfield with a gunshot wound. We'll have the latest on the investigation at 5 p.m.

Car crashes into roof of church
Investigators are still scratching their heads over this one. Two men in a car somehow ended up crashing into the roof of Hargrove Memorial United Methodist Church in Tuscaloosa. The car became lodged in the attic.  No one was hurt. We'll show you the surprising pictures at 5 p.m.

DMV closures may lead to investigation
U.S. Congresswoman Terri Sewell is calling for an investigation into the closing of DMV offices across Alabama. Her concern is that the closings make it difficult for voters in rural areas to get the photo ID's needed to vote.
