BABY BORN RESCUER - The WBRC cameras were on hand for a special delivery! It happened at the BP gas station on the corner of Columbiana road and Lakeshore Parkway yesterday.  The new mom and dad were headed to the hospital but didn't quite make it there. Homewood Fire officials arrived just in time to check on the mom who was holding the baby in the front seat.   We're glad to report that dad, mom and baby are doing just fine. Janice talked with Lt. Gus Murphree with Homewood Fire and Rescue. He was the first responder on the scene.

FIESTA - Iris Hercules from Recions Restaurant and Matt Ennis, President of the Board for FIESTA, joined us with the scoop on Fiesta! The 13th Annual Fiesta, Alabama's largest celebration of Hispanic culture and heritage, will be held at Linn Park in Birmingham tomorrow from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. With the goal of educating the public about the many different Hispanic countries and their cultures, Fiesta's approach has been to do this through presenting the best of Hispanic art, music, food and dance. Admission to Fiesta is $5 per person in advance and $8 at the gate. Children 12 and under are admitted for free. Donations to the scholarship fund at Fiesta are encouraged at the event. Fiesta gives Alabamians a unique opportunity to experience the best of Latin American countries in their own backyard! Patrons can journey through over 20 represented countries and experience their people, music, art, food and culture. It showcases that Birmingham is a community that encourages multiculturalism, sensitivity and acceptance. Fiesta is family-friendly fun for the entire family. ATROX - Atrox Factory opens its doors this weekend! Atrox is open every Wednesday through Sunday between now and October 31st. It is open from 6:30-10pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 6:30 p.m.-midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and 6:30 p.m.-10 p.m. on Sundays. There is a $5 per person charge at the gate during celebrity appearances. The entry fee is $20. Atrox accepts cash only - no credit cards or checks. There is an ATM available inside. And you can purchase your tickets online. Atrox does not charge for parking. Lines are long on the weekends, so arrive early. The entrance gate closes once the lines reach capacity.
