The latest on the Warrior police-involved shooting and protecting your pets from predators

Greetings from the WBRC Newsroom! This is Jonathan Hardison with a look at some of the stories we're following for you this evening.

Officer-involved shooting

We're working tonight to get new information on the officer-involved shooting in Warrior this afternoon where an officer was shot and he shot two suspects. We know that officer is already out of the hospital and recovering tonight but what led to this traffic stop turning violent, what happened to the 2 suspects, and how is Warrior dealing with its third officer-involved shooting in the past year? Vanessa Araiza is working the story for us with new information starting on WBRC FOX6 News at 9.

Protect your pets

This is predator season for coyotes and wolves in our area who are expanding their hunting grounds as the weather starts to turn a little colder and that could spell danger for your pets. So tonight on WBRC FOX6 News at 10 we're talking to a local vet about how to keep predators away from your backyard and how to protect your pets.

Those stories and more beginning at 9 on WBRC FOX6 News. I hope you'll watch us on air, online at WBRC.com or in the WBRC News app by clicking "Live Newscasts."
