Warrior police officer shot and Gov. Bentley talks state cuts

Good afternoon from the desk of Janet Hall.  Here are the stories we’re working on for FOX6 News this evening.

Warrior police officer shot
A Warrior police officer and two suspects are recovering from wounds after exchanging fire at Exit 280 on I-65. The officer was wearing a bullet proof vest and is expected to recover. There is no word on the condition of the two suspects. We have two crews on the scene right now and will have live reports with the latest information at 5 p.m.
 
Governor Bentley talks cuts
We’re getting a better picture of how the budget recently passed by state lawmakers will impact state services. We have comments from Governor Bentley about the possible closings of DMV offices, armories and parks.
 
Water on Mars!
We’ll have reaction from local scientists to the news today confirming evidence of water on Mars.
