Traffic moving on I-59 SB following deadly Birmingham wreck

New this morning, the National Weather Service says a possible tornado may have hit the Charleston area overnight.

Another story you need to know about as you prepare to head out this morning: That huge crash on I-59 in Birmingham. Cleanup lasted late into the night.

Two men who have already been arrested in two separate, high profile crimes are back in jail in Tuscaloosa. One on a rape charge and the other indicted for sexual contact with a student.

Developing out of Tuscaloosa, the Crimson Tide's backup place-kicker has been suspended indefinitely. That's according to head football coach Nick Saban. Investigators say Gunnar Raborn was arrested on a DUA charge yesterday.

The Birmingham Zoo is saying the snake that bit a child was not part of its animal collection. The child was in the zoo's "Trails of Africa" exhibit when the child was bitten by a copperhead snake, and was rushed to a hospital.  We are working to get an update on the child's condition.

Alabama State's former football coach, Reggie Barlow, is filing criminal charges after he says he was attacked by an ASU board of trustees member.

Four people are dead and over 50 hurt in a collision involving a tour bus, an amphibious vehicle, and two other vehicles in Seattle. Police say the "Ride the Ducks" amphibious vehicle plowed into the side of a tour bus.

And in Texas, six people are dead and seven others hurt after a police chase came to a tragic end.

After touring Washington, D.C., Pope Francis is now in New York City. He'll have another busy day, including addressing the United Nations General Assembly. We'll have a live preview from the Big Apple.
