Fentanyl-related deaths are on the rise in Jefferson County, according to authorities.

Ketucky clerk Kim Davis, who was jailed for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, gave an exclusive interview to ABC News. See what she has to say at 7:04 a.m. on Good Day Alabama. 

A historic day as Pope Francis will visit the U.S. for the first time as Pope today.  He has stops planned in Washington, DC, New York and Philadelphia. Birmingham Mayor William Bell says he's making the trip to see Pope Francis and he has not given up on the pope visiting Birmingham.

Two suspects are dead after a gunfight with police in California.  It happened in the parking lot outside a Target store.

An FA18E Super Hornet fighter jet crashed in a field near a naval air station in California. The Lemoore base spokesman says the pilot ejected in midair and parachuted safely to the ground.

In political news, Scott Walker will reportedly withdraw from the race for the Republican Presidential nomination.
