Budget compromise in the works

We are keeping a close eye on the special session in Montgomery where we expect lawmakers to vote on a general fund budget soon. Leaders have agreed on a compromise that would move $80 million from the education budget to the general fund. We'll have the latest in a live report from Montgomery at 5:00.

UAB Blazers celebrate

Blazer fans are holding a pep rally for their newly re-contracted football coach. The compensation committee of The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees today gave final approval to a new five-year contract for Coach Bill Clark. We'll take you to the pep rally with a live report on WBRC FOX6 News at 5.

Birmingham night of violence

Police and neighbors are shaken after a violent night in Birmingham.  Five people were shot at three different locations within a five hour period. We'll have reaction from police and residents.
