Sideline Sheldon's Game of the Week: Vestavia Hills vs. Oak Mountain

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL (WBRC) - What a difference a year makes. After suffering through one of his worst seasons as a head coach in 2014, Buddy Anderson's Vestavia Hills team in 2015 is 2-0.

The Rebels ran right over Oak Mountain to the tune of 35-26. Vestavia was led by fullback Walker Minor and his three touchdowns while tailback Toliver Chatwood added two rushing touchdowns.

Anderson says his offensive line is doing a tremendous job controlling the line of scrimmage. As for the 2-0 start to the season, Minor attributes it to the hard work the team put in over the summer.

Oak Mountain was led by quarterback Warren Shader, who returned to the lineup following a one-game suspension. He scored one time on the ground and one passing.

Eagles head coach Cris Bell says his team never quit and he was proud of the effort in the second half.

The loss drops Oak Mountain to 0-2 on the season.

Up next for Oak Mountain is another big Class 7A match-up next Friday with Hewitt-Trussville.
