Travel tips for Alabama season opener in Texas

TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) - The Alabama Crimson Tide will open its 2015 football season against the Wisconsin Badgers Saturday at 7 p.m. at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Alabama last played at the venue in 2012, in a season opener against Michigan.

Whether this is your first trip to AT&T Stadium, or it's a repeat, travel experts says there are some special considerations you should think about.

-Traffic. According to both Decima Cooper with the Arlington Convention and Visitors Bureau and Ashley Olive, Travel Coordinator for the UA Alumni Association, fans should plan for traffic and extra travel time. Cooper suggests fans follow @visit_arlington on Twitter for up-to-the-minute traffic information.

-Parking. Olive suggests looking at online options for pre-purchasing parking, before you head to the stadium. Find options here: stadium.dallascowboys.com/guests/parking.cfm

-Tickets. Olive also says make sure you are purchasing tickets from a trusted seller.

-Stadium rules and regulations. "Another thing people need to think about is that they're going into an NFL stadium, so the rules for entering Bryant-Denny are different from entering an NFL stadium," Clayton said. Find details on the stadium's purse and bag policy here: dallascowboys.com/bags
