Cycling safety

The death of a Birmingham businessman when he was hit by a truck is only the latest in a series of deadly crashes involving local cyclists. So tonight on WBRC FOX6 News at 9 Christy Hutchings is talking to a local cycling group about how you can protect yourself while you're biking or keep from being a driver involved in one of these accidents.

Protecting students from sexual assault

After Tuscaloosa authorities arrested a man for offering a University of Alabama student a ride home and then assaulting her, an on-campus group is hoping to keep others safe. Tonight new on FOX6 News at 10 Josh Gauntt is inside an SGA task force meeting on preventing sexual assaults on campus, part of the launch of the national "It's on Us" campaign to make students safer.
