Coaches charged with stealing from their own cheerleading team plus concerns over prison budget cuts

Good evening from the WBRC FOX6 Newsroom. This is Jonathan Hardison with a look at some of the stories we're following for you tonight.

Coaches accused of theft

How low must you be to steal from your own cheerleading team? That’s what investigators in Bibb County are asking tonight after charging two coaches from the Bibb County PeeWee cheerleaders team of stealing likely thousands of dollars from their own team. Reporter Josh Gauntt is in Bibb County tonight to track down how this may have happened new for WBRC FOX6 News at 9.

And new on WBRC FOX6 News at 10 my co-anchor Beth Shelburne is just back from a look inside the walls of the St. Clair Correctional facility where she got rare access to prison officials who are worried that if the state legislature doesn’t fund prison reform efforts in this special session, they will have big problems on their hands in the state prison system that has already had a surge of violence this year.
