Sheldon's Game of the Week: Thompson vs. Pelham - WBRC FOX6 News - Birmingham, AL

The rivalry showdown between Thompson and Pelham did not live up to the hype as the Warriors jumped out to a 31-0 halftime lead and cruise to an easy victory.

Thompson head coach Mark Freeman says he was happy how his team responded after winning the opener the previous Friday.

He says we did not win a game in 2014 and now we are 2-0. 

"I am so proud of this team," Thompson said.

As for Pelham, the Panthers lose their regular season opener under first-year head coach Tom Causey.

The game was delayed by lightning for more than two hours, but not even Mother Nature could slow down the Warriors.
