Talladega gets a new mayor after 20 years; More at 5 a.m.

Covering local elections:  After 20 years, the city of Talladega will have a new mayor. Last night, the incumbent mayor, Larry Barton, lost re-election to Jerry Cooper, Sr.

Montgomery's incumbent mayor, Republican Todd Strange, will remain in office.

Hope you loved the beautiful weather yesterday, because Wes says it's going to continue today.

Washington is expecting four days of rain which will be a welcome sight for firefighter's who've been battling a massive wildfire for days.

We'll also be keeping a close eye on Wall Street again today.  The Dow finished down 200+points yesterday.  The 6th straight day of losing.
