BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

One of Birmingham's television pioneers was honored Saturday the Alabama Broadcasters Association.

The ABA inducted Pat Gray into the ABA Hall of Fame. Gray's daughter accepted the award for her at Saturday's luncheon.

As a teenager, Gray won a contest in 1959 to be on Tom York's Morning Show.

In her two decades on the air she became one of WBRC's biggest stars, from weather girl to talk show host to a key member of the award winning news team.

"She's a blessing to Channel 6, the city of Birmingham, and the state of Alabama," FOX6 News Anchor Janice Rogers said.

Our congratulations to Pat Gray, the newest inductee to the ABA Hall of Fame!
