Lockers fall on child
A section of lockers fell on a five year old girl at Lewis Elementary today. The girl was rushed to Children's of Alabama where she was checked out and determined to be okay. Meanwhile, workers have been going through every Birmingham school today checking to be sure lockers are properly fastened to the walls. We'll have a follow up report on FOX6 News at 5.
We're learning more about the expansion of automotive supplier Kamtek in Jefferson County. Today, county commissioners outlined the incentives being used to help the company expand and bring more jobs to Jefferson County. In fact, some of those jobs may be going to steelworkers now facing layoffs. We'll have the full story at 5:00.
What's that yellow flashing arrow?
Have you seen the new traffic signal popping up around Hoover? It's a flashing yellow arrow. What exactly does that mean? It's basically a yield sign but it's causing some confusion. We'll explain.
