Good Friday morning to you!  Here are some of the stories we are covering for you this morning on Good Day Alabama:

We are on the scene of a shooting, a carjacking and a police chase on Birmingham's west side. It happened about 3 a.m. Police say the victim is at UAB hospital. Moments after the shooting, police began chasing two suspects.

Troy suffers damage from what looks like a small tornado. We'll have a look at the damage.

Mickey will tell you if you need to expect more strong thunderstorms today.

There were a lot of fireworks in the primetime Republican Presidential debates.  We'll have a recap and analysis.

Also new this morning, Hoover Police are investigating an accident where a car ran off the interstate and into the woods. They just opened up Interstate-65 Southbound before the Alford Avenue exit.

The man wanted in the killing of a Louisiana police officer is now in custody and facing murder charges.

In Dallas, a commuter train collides with a truck and ends up injuring several people.

College football season is just around the corner.  We'll take a neat look at Jordan-Hare stadium and one of Alabama's star players goes on campus to ask unsuspecting fans about him.
