Graysville man killed in car wreck

GRAYSVILLE, AL (WBRC) - Authorities with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department are investigating a wreck that killed a Graysville man.

Deputies were called to the scene in the 1100 block of North Main Street in Graysville around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday night.

They say the driver of a 2007 Ford Expedition had been going at a high rate of speed when he lost control.

The vehicle left the road, went through someone's yard and into a nearby wooded area where it struck several trees before coming to a stop.

Curtis Arvon Langley, 67, was pronounced dead on the scene.

Two passengers, a man and a woman were able to get out and call for help.

The female passenger was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The male passenger was not hurt.
