3 in custody following Midfield carjacking, high speed chase

Some of the stories we are working on this morning for you on Good Day Alabama:

We have FOX6 exclusive video this morning from Midfield, where three people are in police custody after a high speed car chase.
 

High school football practice begins today across the state.  Mickey will tell us how hot it will be for the teams.

New this morning, state troopers are investigating a fatal wreck in Etowah County.

Governor Robert Bentley will join us at 7:10 a.m. in advance of a special session that gets underway today to come up with a plan to attack a budget shortfall.

In Greene County, Forkland police are investigating a fatal shooting.

Two escaped inmates are believed to still be on the loose this morning.  A third inmate was recaptured on Saturday.

Happening today, new Hoover Schools Superintendent Dr. Kathy Murphy will officially ask the school board to rescind the system's bus fee plan.
 

Police investigators in Memphis are looking for Termaine Wilburn, the suspect identified in a weekend shooting death of officer Sean Bolton.

We are also following up on the case of a young man in Pelham, allegedly beaten to death by a teenager with a baseball bat.

Country music singer, Lynn Anderson, passes away.  She was best known for her hit, Rose Garden.

Also a sad story involving a 9-year-old bat boy is killed after he was killed after being accidentally struck in the head with a bat during an amateur baseball game in Kansas. 

The story of a man who went to a restaurant hoping to propose to his girlfriend, instead ends up stopping a robbery.
