TALLADEGA, AL (WBRC) - Talladega City Schools leaders are working to fill several vacancies before the school year starts back on August 10.
The board of education voted on multiple teacher and bus driver positions tonight at a special called meeting. Members of the community have voiced concerns about the future of the school system and a new group in Talladega, called Save Our Schools (SOS), was formed to help.
However, Superintendent Dr. Donna Kind said she feels the school system is on the right track. She said they still have six teaching positions to fill and the board hopes to do so in the next few weeks.
