BIBB COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - Authorities in West Alabama have made a second arrest in a kidnapping and murder case in Bibb County involving John Barry Hubbard.
Bibb County Sheriff Keith Hannah said Gary Wade Rowland was arrested at his home in Eoline on Wednesday night.
Authorities have formally charged Rowland with capital murder during a burglary and kidnapping.
Investigators say Rowland picked up John Hubbard and Tammy Carpenter and took them to the motel in Greene County.
Hubbard is accused of murdering Kandi Murphy and kidnapping Carpenter, his ex-girlfriend. The two women were sisters.
Hubbard was arrested at a motel on Wednesday night in Greene County. Carpenter was found safe.
Hannah confirms Hubbard and Rowland are both being held in the Bibb County Jail. Rowland is Hubbard's cousin, according to officials.
