Greetings from the FOX6 Newsroom. This is Jonathan Hardison with a look at the stories we're working on for you tonight.

A new Rebel

The Vestavia Hills High School mascot is changing, just not quite how you might think. The school board just voted tonight to keep the name Rebels but "rebrand" the mascot’s appearance. Our Megan Hayes is live tonight with new reaction from parents and students and what this new mascot may look like on FOX6 News at 9.

Where's the light?

And odds are your lights either flashed on and off or stayed off for hours last night during the storms but hopefully they’re back on. But many folks in Mountain Brook are having to do without power for a second night because of how extensive the storm damage was. Christy Hutchings has a new look tonight on FOX6 News at 10 at how busy tree services are, and how messy life has become for folks still parked in the dark.

Those stories and more beginning at 9 on FOX6 News. I hope you'll watch us on air, online at or in the WBRC News app by clicking "Live Newscasts."
