Coal mine files for bankruptcy and Tuscaloosa PD release footage surrounding arrest of man who died in custody

Good afternoon from the desk of Janet Hall.  Here are the stories we're working on for FOX6 News this evening.

Coal mining bankruptcy

Hundreds of families are worrying about their future tonight after their employer filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Walter Energy is a major coal mining operator in central Alabama. We'll have reaction from employees and union reps on FOX6 News.

What happened to the body cams?

That's the question the Tuscaloosa Police Chief is asking after seeing video of an arrest that led to the death of Anthony Ware. Officers say he was pepper sprayed after resisting arrest and then collapsed and later died. Although a number of officers were involved only one camera was recording. We'll have more from the chief at 5.

Rebel cause

Supporters and opponents of the rebel mascot for Vestavia High School are gathering right now. They all want to be in a meeting of the school board which begins at 6 tonight. We've got team coverage as we bring you the debate and the result.
