Birmingham police are investigating a homicide this morning after a man and woman were shot on 19th Avenue North on Sunday afternoon. Police confirm one of the victims died, but they have not said which one.

Police are also searching for the suspect in connection to a double shooting on Tuscaloosa Avenue in Birmingham.

One man is in the hospital and another in jail after a shooting Sunday afternoon in Columbiana.

Investigators are still working to find out what caused a man to die in Tuscaloosa police custody. The 35-year-old man died Friday night after Tuscaloosa police chased him into the woods, attempting to arrest him.

A 54-year-old man drowned Sunday while bathing his dog in the Coosa River, according to the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office.

A 16-year-old is charged as an adult with the murder of his 29-year-old roommate in Tuscaloosa County.
