Fans celebrate return of 3 UAB sports teams and we're tracking this week's storms

UAB sports programs are back

We've got team coverage tonight of the story we broke for you first this afternoon on our WBRC News App:

, possibly as early as next year. Tonight we're talking to fans, Birmingham Mayor William Bell, Tuscaloosa Mayor and former UAB football player Walt Maddox, and Conference USA officials among others to advance this story.

Speaking of advancing, Rick Karle's live at UAB Administration Headquarters tonight pursuing answers to the "what's next" question and there are a lot of facets to that including potential new facilities and rebuilding the team.


And new on FOX6 News at 10 tonight the first comments from a member of the UAB rifle team, one of the forgotten casualties in all of this, who's suddenly gotten new life.
