BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Alabama sophomore Erin Routliffe kicked off the 2015 NCAA Singles Championship with a come-from-behind 1-6, 6-2, 6-2 victory over Duke's
Ester Goldfeld on Wednesday morning at the Hurd Tennis Center on the campus of Baylor University.

Despite dropping the first set 6-1, Routliffe bounced back and surrendered just four games across the final two sets. Routliffe now advances to the round of 32 where she will face the tournament's No. 4 seed, Cal's Maegan Manasse.

After exchanging games to begin the second set, Routliffe began to see the momentum swing in her favor. The Alabama sophomore took three
consecutive games to build a 4-1 lead, and surrendered just one additional tally on her way to a 6-2 victory.

"I started serving much better and hitting better first and second balls," Routliffe said. "I was playing much more aggressive and really
dictating the outcome of the games."

Routliffe carried her momentum into the third set, taking the first three games before Goldfeld got on the board. Routliffe took three
of the final four games to secure her second consecutive 6-2 win and the match.

Routliffe now advances to the round of 32 where she will face the tournament's No. 4 seed, Cal's Maegan Manasse. A fellow sophomore,
Manasse defeated VCU's Cindy Chala by a final score of 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 in her first round match.
