Greetings from the desk of Jonathan Hardison! I hope you're having a nice evening.

Advocate talks about ending prostitution

Tonight after American Idol, we have a fresh look at something I think a lot of us wouldn't expect is happening where it is. Prostitution in Homewood, specifically the West Oxmoor corridor, and neighbors have had enough. They're turning out in big numbers tonight to hear from a former prostitute who's now running an organization dedicated to ending sex trafficking and helping its victims and some of these neighbors have some compelling stories to tell of how prostitution has reached across fences and into their backyards—literally. Megan Hayes @MeganHayesFox6 is live-tweeting the event and she'll have our live report tonight right after the season finale of American Idol.

Jumping from fire

We're getting our hands tonight on some incredible new video of people jumping out of their apartments in Bessemer Monday night during the big fire we covered for you and we'll share that with you on our app and explain the context tonight on FOX6 News all new at 10.

Elderly recovering from attack

And at 10 our exclusive interview with a Cottondale man who was beaten in his home and investigators say the elderly man's housekeeper is one of the people responsible. He's been recovering for months and his first interview about this scary attack is something you'll only see on FOX6 News at 10.
