Life sentence for Joyce Garrard
Joyce Garrard will spend the rest of her life in prison for the death of her 9-year-old granddaughter, Savannah. The girl died after being forced to run for hours as punishment for eating candy. Today a judge followed the jury's recommendation and sentenced Garrard to life in prison. She could have faced the death penalty. We'll have reaction from the courtroom.
Search for kidnapping suspect
A statewide alert is out to find Keysha Pryor. Authorities say she kidnapped her 1-year-old son from Huntsville earlier today. She does not have legal custody. The child was later returned to police unharmed by the biological father. Investigators are still looking for Pryor and we'll have the latest on their search.
Dora police chief dies
Dora Police Chief John Duchock passed away this morning at his home. According to the Dora Police Department, a cause of death has not been released.
