TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

Tuscaloosa Flower Shoppe and Northport Fire Rescue are joining forces on Friday to help moms have a Happy Mother's Day while also supporting babies in the DCH neonatal intensive care units.

Tuscaloosa Flower Shoppe will sell special arrangements for Mother's Day and those arrangements will be delivered by off-duty Northport firefighters.

The delivery fees, tips and any other donations will go to the purchase of Giraffe Omnibeds for DCH's neonatal intensive care units. This is an ongoing project of The DCH Foundation's Finn & Quinley Infant and Children's Fund.

According to the DCH Foundation, the Giraffe OmniBed supports the needs of premature babies and helps to save their vision, lungs and brain function.
