Authorities discuss how to stop heroin, spice deaths and UABPD takes action after armed robbery

Heroin deaths

Alabama's law enforcement community needs help combating a surge in heroin deaths, prescription drug abuse and synthetic drugs like spice. A summit was held today in Montgomery. We'll look at the solutions they are considering.

UAB apartment robbery

A popular apartment complex for UAB students has been hit by armed robbers. Reporter Vanessa Araiza tells you what police are doing in the wake of the crime and what students who live their are feeling.

Crimson Tide player arrested

There are two new developments in the arrest of University of Alabama football player Cyrus Jones on a third degree domestic violence charge which involved threatening a woman and damaging her cell phone. Head coach Nick Saban released a statement about Jones and Jones has bonded out of jail.
