Wanted man jumps into a river to escape deputies and questions about Blue Bell recall

Greetings from the desk of Jonathan Hardison! I hope you're having a good evening. Here are some of the stories we're working on for you tonight:

Man jumps into river

Breaking tonight: our Sherea Harris is in Bibb County where rescuers are searching for a man who

after deputies say his dog attacked them when they tried to question him about an outstanding warrant from Chilton County. She's tweeting

with the latest information and will be live as this story unfolds from Bibb County in our 90 minutes of news that starts with FOX6 News at 9.

Lipscomb council meeting

Lipscomb's Mayor tonight told the city council he's "throwing up a white flag" in the fight over whether to put city employees, including police officers, on paid leave. But according to our @Fox6Christy's tweets, the mayor couldn't even raise the red flag until after a 5=five minute break to start the meeting for everyone to "cool off." Christy is live for us in Lipscomb tonight to see where this city soap opera will turn next.
Blue Bell woes

And if you love Blue Bell Ice cream like I do, you're probably wondering, "What if I ate some two days before we found out about this voluntary recall, could I get sick from listeria?" The short answer we're finding tonight is yes, and we'll go in-depth on what symptoms to look out for and why you might have it and never know it.

I hope you'll join us for FOX6 News starting at 9! Watch us on air, online at MyFoxAl.com or in the WBRC News app.
