BIRMINGHAM,Ala. - UAB will add the sport of men's cross country to its athletics program, beginning with the 2015 season.
“We are excited to start a men's cross country program,” said Blazers' head track and field/cross country coach Kurt Thomas. “We will have two informational meetings to discuss the requirements needed to join the team for the fall. This will be a unique opportunity for current UAB students to be a part of a Division I cross country program and continue their love for running. Our goal is to field a championship quality team in the near future, and this is the firststep."

All University students who will be enrolled full-time in the fall of 2015, including graduate students, may be eligible and should contact Coach Thomas for more information.
