MAYOR BELL - President Obama's visited Birmingham yesterday. He flew in on Air Force One. People lined the streets to get a glimpse of his motorcade as he traveled from the airport to Lawson State Community College. There he addressed students and teachers.... focusing on better economic opportunities for all Americans and creating better financial literacy by curbing the reliance on payday loan companies that can charge over 400% in interest, creating an endless cycle of debt for consumers.
JEH JEH LIVE - Jeh Jeh joined us live from Fairfield High School - 610 Valley Rd, Fairfield, AL 35064 - with the scoop on 95.7 JAMZ High School Spring Break Step Off. JAMZ asks step teams across the state to bring on the noise in what will become a new Spring Break tradition! The statewide high school step show competition will be on Friday, March 27th inside the Historic Boutwell Auditorium at 7pm. This event celebrates the traditional form of stepping while displaying talent amongst various organizations and groups by ultimately promoting unity throughout our community. The step teams will be judged by a panel of guests and the competition's winner will take home $500.00 in the male and female division. The step teams are composed of students from than 8 schools throughout the city such as: Huffman, Jackson Olin, Ramsay, Minor and Fairfield. Step teams from various church organizations and cities such as Tuscaloosa, Atmore and Gadsden will also be participating in Friday's show. The High School Step Off Competition will be hosted by JAMZ personalities and feature celebrity appearances and performances from Jacob Latimore, Anthony Lewis, D. Cole, Illumny Dance Crew, Dream Team Elite and more.

SAVVY SHOPPER - The Alabama Symphony Orchestra will host a Masterworks Season Preview Concert from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. TONIGHT at the Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center.Admission is completely free, no tickets required.
The orchestra will perform selections from the Masterworks season. There is also a free Planetarium Show Saturday at Samford Free Alabama Spring Skies Planetarium Show at Samford's Christenberry Planetarium. The show is Saturday, begins at 4:30 p.m. Seating is limited so arrive early. The planetarium is in Propst Hall on the Samford campus.
