Preparing for Presidential traffic issues and JeffCo teachers brace for budget cuts

Greetings from the desk of Jonathan Hardison! I hope you're having a nice Wednesday. Here are some of the stories we're working on tonight:

Locked out

Our newsroom tonight is keeping a close eye on developments in France where several media organizations are now reporting investigators think one of the pilots of that Germanwings Flight 9525 was locked out of the cockpit in the final moments before the plane crashed into a mountain. We'll have the latest throughout our 90 minutes of live news coverage beginning at 9.

Commuting challenges

We're also on your side tonight if you have to drive in and around the Lawson State campus tomorrow while President Obama is in town. Some roads you might not even think of being affected, like Lakeshore Parkway, may be on the list of places to avoid due to security and traffic issues. We'll map it out for you.

Jefferson Co. schools budget

And Jefferson County teachers met tonight to try and prepare themselves for the possibility of job cuts as Jefferson County searches for millions of dollars in budget savings. The system will meet tomorrow to try and hammer out details but tonight teachers explains why they are worried this will impact not only their jobs but your child's classroom experience.

I hope you'll join us for these stories and more starting at 9! Watch FOX6 News on air, online at MyFoxAl.com or through the WBRC News app.
