2 arrested after suspect shoots his accomplice during armed robbery

TRUSSVILLE, AL (WBRC) - Trussville police arrested a man and woman after the man shot their accomplice during an armed robbery at the Chevron in the 5900 block of Chalkville Mountain Road.

Roderick Williams, 19, and Paulet Williams, 22, face first degree robbery charges. Both suspects are from Center Point.

Officers believe Roderick possessed a 380 caliber pistol that discharged and wounded an accomplice in the chest.

Police identified the wounded accomplice as 21-year-old Katerra Howard, of Center Point. The suspects dropped her off at St. Vincent's East in Trussville but were caught as they were trying to leave the hospital.

Law enforcement will seek charges on Howard at a later date.

Police recovered three guns and stolen money.
