Joyce Garrard trial begins

Opening arguments are made today in the murder trial of Joyce Garrard. She's the Etowah County woman accused of running her granddaughter until she collapsed and later died. We'll have the latest from the courtroom.

Selma march continues

The commemoration of the Selma to Montgomery voting rights march continues today. This weekend marked the 50th anniversary of Bloody Sunday and the crossing of the Edmund Pettus Bridge. Even though marchers were stopped that day in 1965 they didn't give up. They regrouped and marched all the way to Montgomery. This week a group is marching in their footsteps. We'll show you what they're doing along the way on FOX6 News at 5.

Commuter confusion on I-65

If you regularly travel I-65 north of Birmingham you know it's a mess around the construction connecting to I-22. We'll take a look at recent changes in traffic and what's coming up on the road ahead. That's tonight on FOX6 News at 6.
