ST. CLAIR COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

A second billboard that some consider racist is greeting drivers on I-59 near Springville.

The billboard reads, "Diversity means chasing down the last white person." It also includes the hashtag "#white genocide."

Another billboard that was posted near Leeds in June 2014 said, "Anti-racist is code word for anti-white."

The owner of the latest billboard said the billboard was vacant for eight months and he was just looking to make some money, but he did not know what message would be going up.

Since then he says he has received threatening voicemails and says he deeply regrets leasing the sign.

Bob Whitaker lives in South Carolina. He calls himself a conservative, and while he did not pay for the billboard, he said the message is not racist.

Whitaker says he encourages this type of reaction because the 73-year-old conservative political activists does not believe there has been a serious discussion of race in the country.

"Diversity just means chasing down whites. While we all know when you talk about immigration, you mean to white countries. We all know that when you talk about diversity it means too many whites," Whitaker said.

Whitaker said he is not racist. Many who criticize him for his views just call him redneck.

He did not pay for the sign, but he says many go to his blog which seeks to increase debate on race which he feels is slanted against white people.

Whitaker says he hopes to see more billboards go up across the country.
