TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents stop woman attempting to smuggle heroin into the U.S. in her girdle. 

The incident happened at the Dennis DeConcini crossing on August 5.  The woman, identified as Eduwiges Valdez-Castro, was attempting to cross the border into Arizona when her SUV was tagged for a secondary inspection.  According to CBP agents they searched Valdez-Castro as well and found three packages of heroin inside a girdle she was wearing.  

The packages weighed six pounds and were estimated to be worth $86,000.  Both the SUV and drugs were seized for processing, while Valdez-Castro was turned over to ICE/HSI officials.
