BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

Police say a woman was shot in the 800 block of 7th Street West on Thursday evening.

Officers said after the woman was shot, her brother helped her to the nearby police administration building on 1st Avenue to get help.

She was taken to UAB Hospital for treatment for her non-life-threatening injuries.

So far, no one has been arrested in connection to the shooting.

Lt. Sean Edwards said that there was an argument between the victim's brother and some other men. The men allegedly fired shots at the brother and the victim was hit.

Police originally said the woman had been leaving a nearby club, Onyx Lounge. They say that the club was closed at the time of the shooting and is not connected to the club.
