One person dead after traffic accident on I-59 northbound

TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -

One person is dead after a traffic accident on Interstate 59 northbound near mile marker 65 on Thursday afternoon.

The one-vehicle crash happened before 3 p.m. Alabama State Troopers confirmed the one fatality with this accident.

The roadway at mile marker 65 was closed for a while, then one lane reopened before all lanes were re-opened just before 5 p.m.

Another accident happened around the same time at mile marker 76. That crash involved five automobiles. At least one injury was reported because of this crash.
