Lemon and Garlic Hummus

Angela's Lemon and Garlic Hummus


•    2 cups of chick peas (garbanzo beans) (cooked)
•    2 cloves of whole garlic
•    ½ cup – 1 cup of olive oil
•    ¼ cup  of tahini paste
•    3-5 Tablespoons of lemon juice
•    1 ½  Tablespoons of salt
•    2 sprigs of fresh thyme
•    A pinch of paprika


In a sauté skillet, cook garlic cloves till soft and crispy on the outside. In a food processor, add cooked chick peas and garlic cloves. Process till smooth, and then add tahini paste, salt, and oil. When adding the oil be sure to add slowly as the processer is on. Add lemon juice slowly as well. Taste for salt and lemon, if needed add a little more. Process all ingredients till smooth like peanut butter or until the consistency of your liking. At the end add fresh thyme n paprika for flavor n a bit of color. Serve with warm pita bread or your favorite veggies. Enjoy!
