Tuscaloosa police arrested three adults in connection to a fight that happened in the DHR lobby last week.
Police say a two-minute video of the July 8 fight went viral online. The fight started Tuesday in the parking lot of Tuscaloosa County DHR office. The video was shot on a cell phone and doesn't show what happened outside of the lobby.
The video shows one woman grab another women inside the lobby. They throw punches at each other and are wrestled to the ground, all while a baby can be heard crying in the background.
Several seconds later, another female grab a chair. Security is present. But it took some time for them to get the situation under control.
After the fight at DHR, a male suspect allegedly hit a 17-year-old female in the back of the head with a baseball bat in the Tuscaloosa Police Department parking lot.
Jonecia Danielle Sherman, 29, of Tuscaloosa was arrested for third degree domestic violence harassment, third degree domestic violence reckless endangerment and harassment. She was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail pending a $2,500 bond.
Darnell Janario Williams, 25, of Tuscaloosa was arrested for harassment. He was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail pending a $500 bond.
Teaira Roshone Sherman, 31, of Coaling was arrested for second degree assault on July 8. He's the suspect accused of hitting a teen girl in the back of her head with a baseball bat outside the police station.
Sherman was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail pending a $15,000 bond.
On Friday, a DHR spokesman said they hire companies to provide security at their offices. They are currently working with the company that provides security at the Tuscaloosa County DHR office to see what can be learned from the brawl.
